Orton-Gillingham Reading Tutoring

Orton-Gillingham tutoring is ideal for students struggling with reading and spelling, including those with Dyslexia. OG is an explicit, sequential, multisensory approach to reading instruction. All lessons follow a similar routine, individualized for student need.

EBLI Reading

Tutoring

EBLI tutoring is helpful for students with a large gap in reading and spelling. EBLI focuses on the sounds in spoken language, and uses accurate spelling for accurate reading. Lessons rotate through various activities that are individualized for student need.

Depending on need, students may work on letter formation, sentence structure, grammar, syntax, and paragraph/essay writing. I pull from many resources, including Releasing Writers (thinkSRSD) and Strengthening Student Writing through Focus.

About Tiffany Lam, M.Ed.

Hi! I'm Tiffany, a tutor and mom, who is passionate about all things literacy - reading, spelling, and writing.

Since 2012, I have worked with students in different settings - in school as an Education Specialist, in learning centers, and in homes as a private tutor. I developed my passion for literacy in 2015, when I started working with students with suspected and diagnosed Dyslexia, ADHD, and Autism, and saw how effective structured reading instruction was for them.

I became trained in Orton-Gillingham in 2021 through IMSE and have done 100+ hours of OG training since then. I am currently training for my EBLI certification. I am always learning and reading up on the latest literacy research. I'd love to see if I am a good fit for your child's learning needs.

Fun fact: I won my school's spelling bee competition in 6th grade and competed in the district spelling bee!
